Lifting

Fitness currently plays a huge part in my life. I go to the gym almost every day and it's a big goal of mine to become more fit.

I have been lifting weights as a secondary form of exercise since 2018 (primary being swimming) and a primary form of exercise since 2021

Here are my maxes (all in pounds, as of 6/28/23)

  • Bench: 225
  • Squat: 405
  • Deadlift: 405
  • Overhead Press: 155
My workout routine

I currently follow a push-pull-push-legs split (I used to do push-pull-legs but I want to focus on my push exercises, as I'm a bit disproportional) that infinitely loops whenever I go (on average 5-6 times a week).

My workouts don't follow a strict reps/sets amount. I usually go and vibe out a workout for roughly 90 minutes following some principles/intuition that I've learned over the years. Here is my pool of exercises, and I roughly follow this order for my workouts. If you ever see me at the gym, feel free to ask me for pointers!

Note: I use Optimum Nutrition whey protein powder (2 scoops) and creatine (half scoop) each day that I work out. I don't use much equipment. Only a belt (borrowed from gym, although I might buy my own) for squats and deadlifts and liquid chalk for deadlifts.

Push Days

  • Bench Press
  • Overhead press
  • Incline bench press
  • Cable flyes (alternate at multiple angles)
  • Cable lateral raise (alternate between focusing on side and rear delts)
  • Tricep extensions (multiple variations)

Pull Days

  • Deadlift
  • Barbell row
  • Lat Pull down
  • Cable Rows
  • Dumbbell Rows (one hand on the bench, both legs stable on the ground)
  • High angle cable pull
  • Cable pullover
  • Cable face pulls
  • Rear flyes
  • Dumbbel bicep curl

Leg Days

  • Squat
  • Leg press
  • Leg extension
  • Hip abduction
  • Hip adduction
  • Hamstring curl
  • Calf raise
